A small pastry bar located on a roadside in the countryside around Lucca. A very simple setting, but an opportunity to mingle with the locals (policemen, workers, shopkeepers) while enjoying delicious pastries. A special mention for the homemade Panetone, available for only a few weeks between mid-December and early January: in our opinion, they're the best and most traditional. As is so often the case, this traditional Italian holiday pastry has been hijacked by low-quality industrial production. The recipe is simple, but requires a certain amount of skill and time: two values that are often undermined in the food industry.
