Grilled asparagus with olive oil, lemon & Parmesan
Ingredients:
- 800 g asparagus
- ½ a lemon
- olive oil
- Parmesan cheese , for grating
Preparation
- Prepare your chosen variety of asparagus by washing them and trimming off the woody ends.
- Next, heat a large griddle pan and grill the asparagus spears on both sides until they develop appealing grill marks. Once cooked, divide them onto four plates and drizzle generously with lemon juice and olive oil, using three times as much oil as lemon juice.
- Season to taste with sea salt and freshly ground black pepper. Serve at the table alongside a block of Parmesan cheese, allowing diners to grate or shave it over the asparagus using a speed peeler.
